From Leather to Denim: DIY Color-Showcase with Lorence TP Color Series

June 5, 2026

For years, Lorence TP Color Series has proven itself on leather—bringing rich, vibrant color to the hands of artisans and becoming a reliable partner for easy, standout color renewal.

This time, we turned to a new canvas. Instead of leather, we used Lorence TP Color Series on a blue denim tote bag to create a truly personal, trend-inspired DIY piece. With a deep blue base and high-saturation color accents, the result delivered fresh DIY energy and one-of-a-kind visual charm.

Lorence TP Color Series

Lorence TP Color Series is a pigment paste designed for leather color modification and decorative detailing. It’s formulated to work without additional fixing, and it contains no solvents.

Compared with standard pigments, it offers stronger color coverage, excellent resistance to dry and wet wiping, good resistance to bending and creasing, improved coloring strength, and reliable self-fixing performance.

With these advantages, we set out to take it beyond leather and try it on a denim surface—making this a real cross-material DIY test.

The Creative Challenge

The blue denim tote bag is timeless and easy to style. But for hand-painted work, there’s one practical challenge: denim can “absorb” pigment in a way that dulls color—causing originally vivid tones to look grayish or darker than expected.

That was exactly the hurdle we aimed to solve—and the moment to validate the true performance of Lorence TP Color Series.

DIY Handcraft Process

Step 1: Color mixing

Prepare two tones—deep green and light green—by mixing selected Lorence TP Color Series shades.

Step 2: Painting

Use deep green and golden yellow to paint “tide flats after dusk.”

Layer deep and light greens to create the “blue-hour moment—tropical trees at dusk.”

Outline wave highlights under a bright moon using light white for soft contrast.

Let it air-dry naturally to achieve self-fixing.
